General Project Update (as of June 25, 2014):

All of the underground pipe installation is completed! Testing of the pipe and restorations are in progress. The storm sewer box culvert on Sunset Avenue between Walters and Westview is substantially completed and it is anticpated that the road will be reopened in the near future.

Asphalt paving restoration will continue in New Britain Township on Schoolhouse Road and Railroad Avenue; in Chalfont Borough on Sunset Avenue; and in Warrington Township on Detweiler Road, Limekiln Pike and County Line Road. The base repairs should all be completed within the next two weeks and the final paving will take place over the next month through July 31, 2014.

Project Background

The Forest Park Transmission Main Extension Project is a joint project between the Forest Park Water Treatment Plant, North Wales Water Authority, North Penn Water Authority, and Bucks County Water and Sewer Authority. Over 20 miles of new water main will be installed to further enhance the regional water distribution network for areas in both Bucks and Montgomery counties.

This website provides information for 10 miles of the new main that will be installed between Forest Park Water in Chalfont and Valley Road, at the Warrington/Warminster Township boundary.
